A 31-country app study: what charts can tell you

The 1 October 2026 snapshot covers 2,861 country-chart rows and 1,019 distinct apps. Public install bands are not country-level monthly downloads.

01

What the sample covers

The study sampled 31 countries with populations over 50 million and collected public Google Play charts for social casino and related games. Twenty-six returned 100 rows; the remaining markets had lower coverage.

02

What it supports

The snapshot shows themes, app identities, ratings and chart distribution. Public Google Play install data mainly consists of global lifetime bands and cannot be split into national or monthly downloads.

03

What it cannot prove

A chart listing does not establish legal operation, advertising eligibility or revenue. Repeated apps, uneven coverage and collection timing affect interpretation; association is not evidence of policy causation.
