THE SHORT ANSWER
Start with the essentials
Attribution work starts by aligning events, attribution windows, revenue, costs and currencies. LLF Ads connects campaign performance with retention and payments, then analyzes markets, creatives and acquisition cohorts. The aim is to distinguish tracking gaps from user-quality changes and turn findings into reviewable campaign actions.
01
Why reporting systems disagree
Google Ads, attribution tools and product databases can use different models, windows, time zones and deduplication rules. Delayed events, refunds, currency conversion and multiple user touchpoints also matter. Document the differences and check them individually rather than forcing two totals to match.
02
Define metrics that support decisions
CPI divides ad spend by installs. CPA needs a clearly defined qualified event. ROAS divides agreed attributed revenue by ad spend. ROI also involves other costs and profit, so the two should not be interchangeable. Define social-game purchase and ad revenue separately from licensed gaming revenue; deposits are not automatically net revenue.
03
Compare cohorts at the same maturity
Group users by acquisition date and compare D1, D7 or D30 outcomes only when the observation period is complete. Consider sample size and measurement coverage. Splitting by country, language or concept can make samples unstable. Where retention or revenue is unavailable, identify the gap rather than presenting an estimate as measured performance.
04
Translate a finding into an action
Repair or label measurement issues first. Revise creative when its message attracts mismatched users. Discuss budget allocation when a market repeatedly misses the agreed target over a mature window. Record timing, versions and outside influences; changing everything at once makes the subsequent result harder to interpret.
FAQ
Before we begin.
Does 100% ROAS mean a campaign is profitable?+
Not necessarily. Defined attributed revenue equals ad spend at that point, but profitability also depends on net versus gross revenue, platform shares, agency fees and other costs.
Can Google Ads alone establish retention?+
Relevant product analytics or attribution events are generally needed. Confirm the data source and measurement coverage before assessing a retention change.
